SAIC has an opening for a Systems Administrator specializing in Event Monitoring Management (EMM) in support of the USSOCOM SITEC 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) contract. The USSOCOM mission is to provide fully capable Special Operations Forces (SOF) to defend the United States and its interests and synchronize planning for global operations against terrorist networks. You will support the USSOCOM mission as we partner with SOF military and civilian members to provide world-class IT services and support that connects over 60,000 users around the world in the areas of software maintenance, network services, security, and end-user computing. This position is based on-site at MacDill AFB, FL.
We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of our Enterprise's Event Monitoring System suite of tools and its supporting infrastructure. This includes managing the configuration and maintenance of event monitoring applications and software across the organization. The EMM Systems Administrator will work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and support of our IT infrastructure.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Manage the configuration of the SOCOM Enterprise's Event Monitoring System suite of tools and its supporting infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot server-related issues and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Deploy and maintain server system updates to improve functionality and accuracy.
• Manage application dependencies and conflicts.
• Manage the deployment of software updates, including Windows updates, third-party updates, and security patches.
• Troubleshoot and resolve server device problems, application security and functional issues.
• Provide technical support to other IT teams and end-users.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of EMM infrastructure, including configuration settings and troubleshooting procedures.
• Share knowledge and best practices with other IT teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications
 
Qualifications and Education:
• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance is required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI if hired
• Bachelor's degree and a minimum 2 years of experience in Systems Administration OR Master's degree and less than 2 years experience OR High School diploma with a minimum 8 years experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Position requires shift-work; typically a 10 hr shift / 4 days a week to include weekends.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other IT teams.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
 
DoD 8140/8570 Certification Requirement:
• DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II (Security+ CE, or equivalent)
Highly Desired Certifications:
• MCSA Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 OR
• AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate), OR
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
• Previous experience with Solarwinds and/or Riverbed event monitoring applications is desired.
