Position Summary: We are looking for an experienced engineer who specializes in Windows Servers and Desktops within classified networks. This role will be engaged in multiple projects, providing innovative solutions & next-generation Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) capabilities for our clients.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or IT related discipline, or equivalent related technical experience is required
• 6+ years of experience in a Systems Engineering or Systems Administration role is required.
• 6+ years or more of strong in-depth experience with implementing Windows Server Platforms and services such as: AD DS, DNS, DHCP, CA, SCCM/MECH, WSUS, etc. (Windows Server 2016 or Newer) is required.
• Experience with server/system hardening in compliance with the Security Technical Implementation Guide – STIG is required.
• 6+ years of experience implementing, patching, updating, securing, and Windows Server within an enterprise environment. (Windows 10 & 11) is a required.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Design, Configure, and Manage network services, VM servers, hypervisors, storage appliances and supporting system/server resources to ensure availability of services to authorized users.
• Plan and perform systems level updates, maintenance, and disaster recovery operations.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement systems security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
• Perform testing and documentation to report systems status, support on-going operations, & QA Testing procedures.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or security related issues.
• Collaborate on a multi-disciplinary team of Software, Test, and Network Engineers and Operations staff.
• Interface and coordinate with customer’s leadership and operations staff for system health and performance reporting, troubleshooting end user issues, scheduled outages and other issues as required.
• Other duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
• Experience deploying and managing Windows Servers and Desktops within a virtualized environment.
• Knowledge of Automation for provisioning, patching, and troubleshooting of server devices.
• Previous experience with IdP, IAM, and Federation Services
• A conceptual knowledge of IP network fundamentals; routing, switching, VPNs, Firewalls
• Prior hands-on experience with VMware version 7 or greater
