As a Security Officer - Aero/Defense Facility Patrol in Norfolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site, especially within the aerospace and defense sector.
- Maintain awareness of the site's surroundings and report any security-related concerns or irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist visitors and employees by providing information and direction as needed during patrols.
- Document observations and activities during patrols and/or in response to incidents, following Allied Universal protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
