Senior Systems Engineer
Full-Time with an ESOP Contractor | Onsite in Huntsville, AL
Schedule: 9x80 (Every Other Friday Off) | Position is off-post, not Redstone Arsenal
Senior Systems Engineer to support the In-Flight Interceptor Communications System (IFICS) Data Terminal (IDT) product team on the Ground Based Mid-course Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS) program. You will perform Systems Engineering functions such as requirements decomposition, hardware fault analysis, and hardware to software interface definition, and testing as part of the Data Terminal (IDT) product team for GMD.

Senior Systems Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total systems.
- Ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship and active U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance is required
- Bachelor's degree in a related STEM discipline and 10+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with:
- Demonstrated proficiency with requirements development, decomposition, software verification, and generating system and segment-level test procedures
- Experience working in Agile environment
- Experience using Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence)
- Experience with Cameo and DOORS
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working on Missile Defense programs (Preferably Ground-Based Midcourse Defense)
- Technical experience developing and fielding command and control systems (Ground Launch, Ground and Flight Test, Maintenance, etc.) for Missile Defense Agency Systems
- Strong familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and tools
- An active U.S. DoD Top Secret clearance is preferred
