Job Description:
Tria Federal (Tria) is seeking driven and ambitious individuals to join our 2026 Summer Internship Program. This full-time opportunity offers a hands-on, impactful work experience tailored to align with your academic and career aspirations. As an intern at Tria, you'll gain valuable exposure by collaborating with colleagues and engaging with senior staff, all while participating in professional development activities and networking opportunities that enrich your experience.
Intern Mission & Outcomes:
Support the excellence of Tria's Military and Veteran Health (MVH) VA Community Care contracts by analyzing current trends from Capitol Hill, identifying areas for efficiencies (both internally and with VA clients), and supporting strategic initiatives. This internship offers hands-on experience in Congressional research, process optimization, and executive-level presentation development.

Responsibilities:
Congressional Analysis: Analyze data from Congressional meetings and proposals, identify impacts to VA Community Care, and develop information presentations for Tria VA contractors. Strategic Support: Assist in the development of strategic initiatives, including creating reports and presentations. Project Management: Contribute to the planning and execution of one key project under the supervision of a senior team member. Research: Benchmark industry practices to inform client strategies. Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for updated processes or recommendations

- Delivering comprehensive reports with recommendations on Congressional and Administrative impacts on the VA Community Care program.
- Creating a presentation summarizing findings and experiences to be shared with Tria senior leadership.
- Developing professional skills in analysis, communication, and project management.
Networking Opportunities:
- Attend weekly team meetings to engage with senior leadership.
- Participate in a mid-term networking lunch with executives from various departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, and Business Development.
- Access to a dedicated mentor who provides career guidance.
Professional Development:
- Participate in company-hosted workshops on leadership, communication, and problem-solving.
- Engage in mock interviews and resume-building sessions.
- Gain exposure to decision-making processes and business strategy in a professional environment.
Training Opportunities:
- Orientation on company culture, values, and key business objectives.
- Training sessions on project-management tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Jira, or Asana).
- Tutorials on data analysis and visualization software (e.g., Power BI or Tableau).
- Introduction to basic principles of operational excellence (Lean, Six Sigma).
Feedback & Supervision:
- Weekly check-ins with the internship supervisor to track progress and address challenges.
- Midpoint evaluation to provide feedback on performance and set future goals.
- Final performance review, including constructive feedback and a recommendation letter for outstanding interns.
Basic Requirements (Skills and Capabilities):
Candidates should possess:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and independently as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Required Education and Experience:
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Business Administration, Operations Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Prior internship or coursework in operations or business strategy is preferred but not required.
