Duties
As a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST, GS-1910-11 (TITLE 5) You will manage overall surveillance of the contractor's work performance through personal inspections and engaging assigned Quality Assurance Specialists. Ensure the provision of required government-furnished services to the contractor through requests and coordination work with other base support activities such as, Civil Engineering, Safety, Security Police, Supply, etc. Meet with wing and squadron training personnel to determine TD monthly training schedules. Meet with wing and squadron training personnel to determine TD monthly training schedules. Provide briefing to local and higher management officials on the status of TD operations. Serve as member/evaluator for pre-award survey teams and acquisition/modification source selections relating to simulator complexes. Review the QAR work activities engaged in inspecting and evaluating contractor's work performance. Determine training needs and develops on-the-job and special training material to include daily operations within the scheduling function cell to help facilitate all associated aircrew training. Perform other duties as assigned.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Experience supervising, planning, developing, or administering quality assurance programs supporting the development, acquisition, production, use, maintenance, storage, and supply of products required by the National Guard.
 
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Must have 36 months experience or 1 year at the next lower GS level specialized experience to include experience, education, or training involving a thorough knowledge of product or range of products involved, the manufacturing methods and techniques, special processes, test, and performance requirements. Skilled in developing plans and programs; experience possessed by an expert in specialization able to give technical direction to otherwise competent workers. Experience determining operations when difficult and questionable phases of malfunctions are found; experience which required significant and concrete work accomplishments (i.e., special projects, working groups, or detailing assignments) involving interpersonal contacts in a quality assurance or related field. Experience in dealing with management principles and supervisory responsibility for the function required by type of position to be filled and the organization involved.
