Technical Writer

The Opportunity
The Technical Writer will support the full lifecycle of high-value contract proposals for a wide array of Department of Defense (DoD), Federal, and commercial/B2Bcustomers, including not only competitive government-contracting (GOVCON) but also product-based proposals. This role combines technical writing/solutioning and editing, the ability to research, conduct critical thinking and analysis that inform proposals/written products, and support proposal activities as required by the Proposal Manager. Technical writer must have ability to research, draft, and deliver compelling, high-scoring, and compliant/on-time proposals that align with business objectives and drive growth. Position requires a high degree of emotional intelligence (or EQ), the ability to communicate at expert levels both orally and written, and ability to lead critical thinking activities to derive implied actions and intentions, and ultimately author and edit clear and careful thinking into persuasive proposals and/or written documents. The technical writer must also have the ability to rapidly learn, fully understand and leverage Artificial Intelligence (Ai) and knowledge management (KM) tools at a SME level as part of the job.

Key Responsibilities

• Work in support of Director of Proposals and Growth Operations to help research, develop content, write, and ultimately win proposals.
• Research, develop content, and conduct persuasive/Strength-based writing in support of proposals, white papers, customer-oriented documents and sales-enabling content. Provide technical research, problem-solving, and solutions-oriented analysis & research to inform and enable persuasive written documents and proposals.
• Develop written products and proposal content that result in STRENGTH-BASED high scoring contract proposals across all business units; enable compliance through detailed analysis and copyediting as required. Support color reviews, proposal coordination activities as required.
• Ensure proposal submittals are STRENGTH-BASED, compliant, accurate, compelling with features/benefits/proof points, and submitted on time, meeting all legal, regulatory, and solicitation requirements.
