Senior Technical Program Manager

Overview

GridironIT is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager (ST PM) to provide strategic leadership, day-to-day management, and technical oversight for IT and cybersecurity programs in support of the customer’s mission. The ST PM will oversee all contract support personnel, ensure operational continuity, and lead the successful delivery of program objectives under Task 3. This role combines program management, stakeholder coordination, and enterprise-level technical leadership across IT and cybersecurity domains.

Location: Remote (preferred local to the DMV area — customer site located in Alexandria, VA)

Clearance Requirement: Active Secret clearance

Scope of Work
• Support for O&E Activities: Provide support for all Operations & Engagement (O&E) activities, programs, policies, and resources, including stakeholder affairs, strategic communications and analysis, CCS, digital strategies, and community/public engagement.
• IT and Cybersecurity Continuity: Deliver comprehensive support across all IT and cybersecurity disciplines necessary to maintain continuity of O&E operations.
• Enterprise Transformation and Sustainment: Lead the transformation, sustainment, and enhancement of the MC&FP IT Enterprise, ensuring reliable performance of O&E operations.
• Program and Technical Support: Provide program management, outreach and engagement support, IT and cybersecurity enterprise services, and cloud migration execution and support to enable mission success and modernization goals.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide leadership, direction, and oversight for all IT and cybersecurity support personnel.
• Manage execution of Task 3 deliverables, ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with customer expectations.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the contractor team and government stakeholders.
• Lead program planning, risk management, performance tracking, and issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies, frameworks, and federal IT standards.
• Oversee workforce planning, resource allocation, and process improvement initiatives.
• Develop and present reports, performance dashboards, and technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of experience planning, directing, and managing complex IT projects or operations of similar size and scope.
• One or more of the following certifications:
• - Global Security Leadership Certification (GSLC)
• - Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO)
• - Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• - Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
• - Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
• Active Secret clearance and favorably adjudicated Tier 5 investigation (or ability to obtain).
Desired Qualifications
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI, or DAWIA Level III Program Management certification.
• Demonstrated experience leading IT and cybersecurity programs within the federal government.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience managing distributed teams in a hybrid or remote environment.

Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Secret clearance required

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $150,000 - $1210,000/YR (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
