We are currently seeking a Data Analyst to join our DTO team located in Washington, DC. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise to our dynamic organization and support high-visibility data initiatives within the Department of the Navy. This position does offer the opportunity for Hybrid work.
Responsibilities:
• Support agile software development for dashboard visualizations and data-driven decision-making.
• Engage with users to gather requirements, estimate work efforts, design, code, and test dashboards, and conduct database queries.
• Translate complex functional requirements and user needs into clear technical specifications; collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
• Utilize Python and SQL to run queries, perform statistical analysis, and execute advanced analytics activities within Databricks.
• Develop and maintain data models integrating multiple data sources to ensure efficient reporting and visualization.
This is an onsite position with the potential for partial hybrid schedules. This position is full-time, salaried, and exempt.
This position requires candidates to be United States citizens, exclusively due to the mandated security clearance requirements associated with our federal contract.
Qualifications:
• Experience gathering requirements, managing stakeholders, and working with government systems.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with data visualization software such as Tableau or Power BI, including data load editor functionality.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with SQL and Python, with demonstrated ability to write and interpret queries and scripts.
• Familiarity with data engineering and data architecture principles, including ETL processes and data model creation for optimized performance.
• Experience leading technical reviews with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in front-end development preferred.
• Proficiency in data science and visualization tools (e.g., Qlik, Tableau).
• Experience with user interface design, Databricks, and Trifacta.
• Strong attention to detail, effective time management, and reliable follow-through.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
The incumbent of this position will be subject to a background investigation and will be required to maintain a Government granted security clearance.
