SCADA Electrical Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a SCADA Electrical Engineer to support a company focused on security systems within the DOD. This position is on-site at Port San Antonio, TX. This is a direct-hire opportunity supporting a national leader in secure, resilient power and technology systems. The SCADA Electrical Engineer will design, build, and maintain virtualized OT/ICS environments for mission-critical defense projects. Responsibilities for the SCADA Electrical Engineer include:

• Design and build secure virtualized OT/ICS environments using VMware ESXi.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions with Terraform and Ansible.
• Integrate ICS components such as PLCs, HMIs, and sensors into virtualized environments.
• Implement cybersecurity best practices and troubleshoot complex system issues.
• Act as team lead, overseeing 3-4 other engineers and providing mentorship and guidance.

Required Qualifications for the SCADA Electrical Engineer include:

• 4+ years of experience with OT/ICS systems and electrical engineering.
• Experience with PCL Programming, Virtual Machines, and automation.
• Strong understanding of networking principles and industrial protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC).
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.

Compensation for the SCADA Electrical Engineer include:

• Salary Range: $100,000-$150,000 depending on experience
• Full Benefits Package: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Sick leave if required by law
