Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Structural Engineer to join our team!
In this role you will get to perform integrated, multidisciplinary assessments that assess survivability of critical U.S. and allied national/theater mission systems, networks, architectures, infrastructures, and assets.
The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), Nuclear Enterprise Support Directorate (NE) performs integrated, multidisciplinary, assessments that assess survivability of critical U.S. and allied national/theater mission systems, networks, architectures, infrastructures, and assets. Blue Team assessments teams aim to ensure continuity to DoD missions and critical infrastructure by assessing the vulnerabilities and survivability of these infrastructure against a broad spectrum of threats including accidents, natural disasters, technological failure, information system attacks, terrorists, radio frequency weapons (RFW), sabotage, and weapons of mass destruction (WMD).

Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Identify all aspects of structural-related vulnerabilities, increase the customer's awareness of potential vulnerabilities and impacts on mission execution capability, and provide recommendations to mitigate or eliminate identified vulnerabilities.
- Ability to conduct assessments of all aspects of infrastructure and equipment of buildings and facilities as it relates to structural response.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Bachelor of Science degree in a related field of study with demonstrable emphasis (academic or experience) in structural design and analysis.
- 8+ years of applicable experience, with at least 2 years of experience conducting vulnerability assessments for buildings and facilities.
- Must have a Valid Passport
- Must have an Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
- Must be able to travel up to 20%
- Position is hybrid, but will require candidate to be located local, or at least a few hours away, from the office at Fort Belvoir, VA.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- PE Certification preferred, but not required.
- Ability to conduct structural and vulnerability assessments in sometimes austere environments.
- Ability to climb on roofs and under crawls spaces.
- Be able to provide specific SME assistance to Technical Support Projects (TSPs)
- Provide Design Review assistance and provide technical assistance to the Home Team.
