Position Title: Logistician I
Location: Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD), Philadelphia, PA
Clearance Requirement: Department of Defense Secret Clearance (Active or Interim)
Work Schedule: Forty hour work week schedule with some overtime allowed. Approximately 95% on-site at NSWCPD; up to 5% travel as required.
Contingency: This position is contingent upon contract award
Background:
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) is the Navy’s Center for Excellence for ships and ship systems, providing full-spectrum research, development, testing, evaluation, and fleet support for both surface and undersea vehicles. NSWCPD serves as NAVSEA’s primary Land Based Engineering Test Site (LBTS), conducting diagnostics and evaluations of emerging and prototype systems. The Compatibility Test Facility (CTF) at NSWCPD requires contractor support to execute business operations functions critical to program success, including financial, logistics, and technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform logistics support for supply programs and projects, ensuring timely and efficient flow of materials and resources.
• Assist with records management, documentation, and reporting related to logistics activities.
• Coordinate with program teams to support manpower, personnel, and training requirements.
• Support planned maintenance and continuous improvement efforts through logistics planning and execution.
• Monitor metrics related to logistics operations and provide actionable insights for program leadership.
• Collaborate with financial and quality management personnel to ensure alignment of logistics functions with program objectives.
• Maintain compliance with NSWCPD, NAVSEA, and Fleet standards and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
• Education: Associate’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience/certification through service in US Military logistics billets (Enlisted E1 or above) or Navy Enlisted Classification Codes (NECs).
• Experience: Minimum of five (2) years of experience as a logistician supporting supply programs or projects.
• Working knowledge of Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), and/or Fleet organizations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

This position is primarily on-site at NSWCPD (approximately 95%), with limited travel (approximately 5%) expected.
