Position Title: Logistician II
Location: Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD), Philadelphia, PA
Clearance Requirement: Department of Defense Secret Clearance (Active or Interim)
Work Schedule: Forty hour work week schedule with some overtime allowed. Approximately 95% on-site at NSWCPD; up to 5% travel as required.
Contingency: This position is contingent upon contract award
Background:
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) is the Navy’s Center for Excellence for ships and ship systems, providing full-spectrum research, development, testing, evaluation, and fleet support for both surface and undersea vehicles. NSWCPD serves as NAVSEA’s primary Land Based Engineering Test Site (LBTS), conducting diagnostics and evaluations of emerging and prototype systems. The Compatibility Test Facility (CTF) at NSWCPD requires contractor support to execute business operations functions critical to program success, including financial, logistics, and technical support.
Responsibilities:
• Support programmatic logistics operations, including planning, coordination, and execution of supply and material support functions.
• Manage processing, records management, and documentation in accordance with established Navy and NSWCPD standards.
• Provide financial management support related to logistics, including tracking, reporting, and analysis of material and inventory costs.
• Assist with quality management and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure efficient logistics processes.
• Coordinate manpower, personnel, and training requirements to maintain readiness and operational compliance.
• Support planned maintenance and configuration management activities associated with CTF systems and equipment.
• Collect and report relevant metrics to monitor and improve logistics operations and program performance.
• Serve as a liaison with NAVSEA, Naval Surface Warfare Center, and Fleet organizations regarding logistics support matters.
Required Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience/certification through service in US Military logistics billets (Junior Officer or NCO/Enlisted E4 or above) or Navy Enlisted Classification Codes (NECs).
• Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a logistician supporting supply programs or projects.
• Working knowledge of Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), and/or Fleet organizations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
