Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) organization is seeking a Production Engineering Manager Level K to join the team based in Oklahoma City, OK.
This position will lead our Production Engineering team composed of Manufacturing Engineers, Planners, and Industrial Engineers. The candidate will support multiple programs by guiding teams to successfully create and execute build plans, maintain and support aircraft modification stability, use technical expertise and leverage data to define lean improvements, and support team growth and development while fostering a positive cultural environment by exhibiting the Boeing values and behaviors. This position will require the candidate to work across multiple teams and organizations in various locations both internal and external to Boeing. The supported platforms will include at least one of the following: Executive Transport and Surveillance (International Government Heads of State, AWACS, VC25A, E4B, Proprietary Programs), Bombers, and International E7.
Technical and people-based leadership is essential for success to achieve ambitious outcomes while helping the team navigate through challenging situations. Strong candidates should be able to demonstrate success in developing and maintaining relationships with customers, stakeholders, and peers. The candidate should also display strong problem-solving skills, willingness to take initiative, provide effective communication, demonstrate empathy, and support team development. This leadership role requires a positive working relationship across multiple functions and locations.
Primary Responsibilities:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Oklahoma City, OK.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage, develop, and motivate direct reports to achieve their best as individuals and as a team
- Support organizational stability through proactive workforce planning, resource acquisition, and ensuring the team has the appropriate skill sets to fulfill the statement of work.
- Leads the development of the production engineering statement of work by engaging in the Common Non-Recurring Product Definition phase which includes putting together a basis of estimate to receive funding to acquire resources.
- Uses engineering judgement and experience to execute technical direction and leadership to ensure optimal execution of production engineering in a manufacturing environment.
- Partner with teams such as Operations, Design Engineering, Supply Chain, Program Management, and Quality to support and improve the aircraft build.
- Lead Production Engineering teams responsible for the development, sustainment, and continuous improvement of the aircraft modification. Elements include but are not limited to: Build plan development and sustainment, bill of material reconciliation, root-cause analysis, short and long-term corrective actions, technical oversight at mod sites and supply base, and introducing new process capabilities.
- Lead initiatives supporting key company priorities. Initiatives may include but are not limited to: Stability and repeatability of aircraft modification, enable new processes and standardization, and manage the incorporation of engineering improvements into the build plan
- Develop and maintain partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, business partners and direct reports. Leverage network to seek broad input on key projects and initiatives.
- Utilize Lean principles to maintain and improve the production system
- Demonstrate Boeing behaviors and values

- Bachelor of Science in an Engineering Discipline
- 5+ years of relevant technical experience in Aerospace or Manufacturing fields
- General knowledge of cost account management
- Experience with developing Basis of Estimates (BOE's)
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- 2+ years of experience supporting a production or manufacturing system
- Possess strong communication and project management skills
- Requires the ability to travel domestic and internationally up to 20% of the time.
