BGS is seeking an experienced, motivated Flight Simulator Device Technician (Level II) to support the local Contractor Logistic Support (CLS) effort for F-15E Mission Training Center (MTC) at Seymour Johnson AFB, North Carolina. The F-15E is a constantly evolving and strategically vital component of the USAF Strike Capabilities. The MTCs are high fidelity simulators (4) designed to give aircrew a realistic and immersive mission-oriented experience utilizing the formidable capability of the F-15E Strike Eagle.
The Flight Simulator Device Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining the MTCs to support daily Air Force Aircrew training. Applying an analytical approach to solving hardware and software related discrepancies, the CLS team member will assist to maintain the MTCs at a 95% availability metric. The most complex air combat operations can be simulated with fidelity, letting warfighters train just as they might someday be called on to fight.

Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for but not limited to all operations as defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS)
- Diagnoses and remedies simulator related issues through analytical thinking and understanding theory of operation
- Assists in troubleshooting to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components
- Conducts daily preflight inspections by flying simulated mission to ensure readiness of all flight components and sensors confirming equipment integrity and readiness for flight training
- Prioritizes and performs daily maintenance and site operations to achieve maximum availability of the trainers to the customer
- Repairs, tests, installs, configures, upgrades and assists in hardware and software modification to the simulators
- Provides real time support to Instructors / Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Aircrew in all operational facets of the MTC during setup and execution of training missions
- Performs general network (managed switches) troubleshooting and maintenance
- Customer oriented and able to positively interact with and promote workplace relationships within a diverse population of driven, motivated, and experienced professionals within the military aviation community
- Applies knowledge of Fighter Combat Tactics, assist SME's with building and maintaining simulator missions with Scenario Programming Tool
- Performs additional duties as assigned. (databases, ordering parts, etc.)
- Follows all local Site Security Protocols to ensure the protection of assets and prevention of mission related disclosures
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years' experience in aircraft flight simulator training device maintenance, or experience in aircraft avionics / electronics or computer network and information systems
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance with U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain access to Special Access Program (SAP)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Associate's degree or equivalent in related work experience
- CompTIA A+, Network + and/or Security + Certifications (DoD 8140 equivalent certifications)
- E xperience with Cisco switches, Microsoft Windows Server 2019, Windows 10, Linux
- Familiarization with F-15E Cockpit and principles of flight
- Passion for contributing to the aerial warfighter and their mission
- F oster positive and productive work relationships within a military community of professionals
