Security Clearance Requirement
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
-Production Control, Logistics, Supply Chain or Shop Floor Control Experience
-High School Diploma or Equivalent: A minimum educational requirement for the role.
-3-5 years - Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field, with a focus on administrative tasks.
-Knowledge of Shipping Regulations: Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing shipping and logistics.
-Global Freight Management Systems (49 CFR / IATA / IMDG): Certified or certification within 90 days of employment date.
-MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
-Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
-Certifications: Such as Certified Shipping and Traffic Manager (CSTM) or Certified Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD)
-Associate's or Bachelor's Degree: In a related field, such as logistics, supply chain management, or business administration
-Experience with Specific Shipping Software: Such as Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
-Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with colleagues, customers, and vendors.
-Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as experience with shipping software and systems.
-Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and develop solutions to improve shipping operations.
-Experience with material flow principles
-Experience with SAP or MRP equivalent
-Demonstrated ability to work independently and make effective decisions
