Position Summary
We are seeking candidates to perform programmatic administration to support both unclassified and classified weapon systems.
What You'll Do
- Provide computer administration of computer systems and network maintenance activities on both unclassified and classified systems in support of test activities
- Perform maintenance and updating of computer operations logs, run reporting software, and follow checklists
- Install Patriot weapon system data reduction executables on system computers.
- Coordinate with Government supply and procurement personnel to maintain automated data processing (ADP) supplies
- Perform regular computer operator duties such as backups, data management, and maintenance activities
- Provide technical assistance to visiting analysts and engineers
- Transport classified materials and ensure proper handling and documentation
- Catalog and maintain data reduction software, backup data, and hardware documentation.
- Document ADP procedures, instructions, and methods for users.
- Install computer operating systems and application software on the Computer Enclave.
- Monitor and maintain desktop and laptop systems, servers, compliance scanning servers, firewalls, switches, and TACLANEs.
- Propose hardware and software improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Obtain information and procedures from vendors to correct hardware and software issues.
- Assist in the preparation of classified packages for transportation
- Serve as a courier for classified data when necessary
Travel: Some travel may be required.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science
- Must be thoroughly knowledgeable in installing and administering the current Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Windows Server, Linux RedHat operating systems
- Must be knowledgeable in the use and function of a STE, and TACLANE National Security Agency (NSA) encryption devices
- CompTIA Security+ certification is preferred. If not certified, certification must be obtained with 12 months of obtaining the position.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License
- US citizenship and an active Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
