Job Description

The HR Generalist will work closely with the HR Team to apply core HR principles in support of employees across the organization. This role is ideal for early-career professionals who are eager to build a strong foundation in human resources while contributing to a mission-driven environment. The HR Generalist will assist in executing HR functions such as onboarding, benefits, compliance, and employee engagement.

Specific Job Activities
  • Provide friendly and responsive support to employees and managers
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
  • Assist with interpreting and applying company policies and procedures
  • Support benefits administration and open enrollment activities
  • Respond to employee questions and help resolve concerns
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and exit processes
  • Help coordinate employee engagement and retention initiatives
  • Support payroll processes by ensuring accurate data entry and coordination
  • Assist with internal investigations and conflict resolution under supervision
  • Communicate HR policy and benefit updates to employees
  • Contribute to HR compliance and administrative tasks
  • Participate in HR projects and other duties as assigned


Requirements

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • 0-2 years of HR experience (internships or part-time roles welcome)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with HRIS systems is a plus
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn

Preferred (Not Required)
  • Exposure to HRIS or ERP systems
  • Knowledge of basic employment laws and HR best practices
  • Interest in working in a government contracting or defense-related environment
