Job Title: Power Bi Developer
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Duration: 6 months

Description

We are seeking a skilled developer to join our team in Toronto for a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Business Intelligence (BI) and experience with Power BI to design and develop insightful reports and models.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in Data Migration and Data Integration projects
• 2 years of Data modeling experience using star schemas, cross filters, and cardinality
• Proficient in implementing row-level security on data with a good understanding of application security layers in Power BI
• Good understanding of ETL processes and data pipelines (both on-premises and cloud)
• Experience in development, implementation, sustainment, and evaluation of data analytics
• Proficient knowledge of business intelligence, data integration, data warehousing, modeling, databases, and technical aspects of Power BI
• Proficient in using advanced-level calculations and aggregations on data sets
• Pro-B Clearance mandatory

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in developing tabular and multidimensional models compatible with data warehouse standards
• Experience with DAX queries and creating visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into informative reports and visuals

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design and develop BI reports to provide insights for improved decision-making
• Build Analysis Services reporting models and perform data profiling during the ETL process
• Connect data sources, import data, and transform data for Business Intelligence
• Create, update, and develop visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI Desktop
• Responsible for design documentation of the reporting models
