Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a qualified Configuration Management Analyst to support a secure customer located onsite at Hill Air Force Base, Utah (HAFB). The program supported by this role focuses on upgrading legacy USAF network infrastructure and transitioning services to a modern AWS cloud environment. This role requires an Interim or Active Secret clearance .
Responsibilities for Configuration Management Analyst:
• Maintain configuration management (CM) files, including configuration identification, change control, and status accounting records.
• Evaluate proposed product design changes to assess their impact on overall systems and functionality.
• Coordinate and manage modification records to ensure proper control and tracking.
• Create change orders and prepare documentation for authorization and approval by both the company and subcontractors.
• Enforce and uphold established configuration management policies and procedures.
• Manage and maintain system baselines using automated CM tools.
• Continuously track and update project change requests, impact assessments, incident reports, and change notices.
• Participate in customer meetings, project kick-offs, configuration reviews, and production discussions as required.
• Ensure customer requirements are implemented and review accounting changes for compliance with CM policies.
• Demonstrated knowledge of virtualization, storage, networking, cloud computing, and CMDB concepts.
• Basic understanding of software licensing principles.
Required qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or an IT-related field
• 2–4 years of relevant professional experience (Master’s degree may substitute).
• Must hold an Interim or Active Secret clearance or be eligible to obtain one.
• ITIL certification or experience with ITIL processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues proactively to maintain business productivity.
• Familiarity with configuration management software processes.
• Solid proficiency in data management practices.
• Hands-on experience with identity and access management.
• Proven experience using configuration management software tools.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Proficient in Windows-based applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience working in a data center environment.
• Ability to adapt to ambiguity and shifting priorities.
