Job Description

As a Security Officer - Aero/Defense Patrol in Columbus, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer where you'll help to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment in an aerospace and defense location. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the facility, and respond promptly to incidents while delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support site operations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a secure environment.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual or suspicious activities within the location.
• Communicate and collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management regarding any security-related concerns or incidents.
• Prepare written reports and/or logs documenting daily activities, observations, and incidents as required by post orders.
• Follow all site-specific and Allied Universal protocols related to the aerospace and defense environment.
• Remain alert and attentive to all surroundings to help to deter potential disruptions within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military roles is required.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
