Position Overview
The KM Lead will collaborate across the Directorate (East, West, and South) to establish and lead a branch-level Configuration Control Board (CCB) that defines a consistent IT Project Management (PM) approach. The Contractor will be responsible for driving KM/PM processes, identifying and overcoming participation barriers, and partnering with leadership to provide sound KM/PM advice and support.

The Contractor will be responsible for driving KM/PM processes, identifying and overcoming participation barriers, and partnering with leadership to provide sound KM/PM advice and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the KM CCB, interfacing with subject matter experts to develop and enforce KM/PM standards.
- Analyze current KM/PM platforms and recommend IT capabilities and solutions that meet organizational needs for storage, distribution, and autonomous information access.
- Develop, execute, and promote a comprehensive project management plan covering IT project information lifecycle: identifying, capturing, evaluating, storing, retrieving, and sharing.
- Manage and update project management plans, schedules, roadmaps, and dashboards to ensure progress and transparency.
- Deliver KM/PM training programs to increase awareness and adoption of KM/PM practices and tools.
- Track, monitor, and evaluate KM/PM activities to measure success, providing continuous improvement recommendations.
- Analyze usage metrics to identify trends and areas needing enhancement; adjust strategies accordingly.
- Facilitate progress through KM/PM maturity levels covering technology, processes, content, and people.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 18+ years of hands-on experience with AFRL IT operational environment.
- Strong knowledge and experience with agile development, IT strategy, and data management processes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders and government management.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering , Computer Science, or related field (required)
- PMP Certification (required)
- CompTIA Certification (preferred, but not required)
