Blu Omega is looking for a Microsoft Windows Field Deployment Technician to join our team supporting a major deployment and training project for the a federal healthcare customer.

You'll work hands-on across federal medical center campuses and offsite training facilities, setting up and configuring IT equipment and ensuring a seamless technology experience for end users. This role blends strong technical skills with a customer-service mindset and requires comfort working independently in a dynamic environment.

Location: Multiple client and project sites across the Cleveland metropolitan area
Clearance: Must be eligible for a Public Trust background check
Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable access to a personal vehicle required for travel between sites

Responsibilities:
  • Deploy, image, and configure computers and related equipment (PCs, laptops, docking stations, monitors, printers, scanners, and network connections).
  • Unbox, set up, install, and remove equipment; re-package and prepare hardware for shipment.
  • Verify each system has the latest VA image, is accessible for security scans and updates, and is properly configured for Active Directory and network connectivity.
  • Set up training environments, ensuring peripherals and network connections are fully functional.
  • Travel between VA medical centers and offsite training locations as needed (occasional evening or weekend hours may be required).

Qualifications:
  • Experience: At least 1 year of hands-on experience imaging and installing computer equipment.

Technical Skills:
  • Hardware and software support, troubleshooting, system imaging, and hardware break/fix (laptops, desktops, printers).
  • Experience with refresh, upgrade, and deployment projects.
  • Familiarity with system administration tasks and maintaining admin logs.
  • Understanding of debugging protocols, high-availability systems, and network troubleshooting.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to unpack, move, and install IT equipment (up to 50 lbs).
  • Regular movement around large campuses or training facilities, including stooping, crouching, and reaching under desks or in server closets.
  • Frequent pushing of carts loaded with computer equipment.

Education:
  • High school diploma or GED with 8+ years of professional experience; or
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Information Systems and 1 year of experience.
  • Transportation: Personal vehicle available during work hours.

Salary Range: $18/hr - $20/hr
Our final salary offer will be based on several factors, including depth of technical skills, work experience, education, certifications, and clearance
