Sr Electrical Engineer

Scottsdale, AZ

Contract Position

Pay Estimated: $80.11-$85.11/Hour

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.)

Active Secret Clearance Required to Start

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:
  • Translating system requirements into hardware design and schematic capture.
  • Managing PWB layout constraints and collaborating with layout engineers.
  • Performing design analysis and simulation for signal/power integrity (SI/PI).
  • Supporting manufacturing, integration, and test phases to ensure hardware performance.
  • Contributing to design for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and design for manufacturability (DFM).
  • Leading design efforts involving embedded processors, FPGAs, and high-speed memory/storage interfaces.
  • Leveraging tools such as the Mentor Graphics Suite, including DxDesigner, Constraint Manager, and HyperLynx.


Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field
    (Master's degree acceptable with reduced experience requirement)
  • 8+ years of relevant hardware engineering experience
    (or 6+ years with Master's degree)
  • Active DoD Secret clearance required at time of hire
  • Demonstrated expertise in hardware development across full program lifecycle
  • Experience with high-speed digital circuit card design and advanced materials/packaging
  • Proficient with Mentor Graphics tools for schematic entry and SI/PI analysis
  • Familiarity with EMC design practices and compliance standards

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Design with embedded processors, FPGAs, and advanced memory/storage protocols
  • Knowledge of design for EMC, thermal considerations, and power distribution
  • Exposure to defense/aerospace environments or ruggedized hardware development
