Job Description Summary
The Military Advanced Sustainment Capabilities Leader will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and customer objectives with respect to the long-term sustainment of military engine programs. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for the planning, execution, and implementation of GE Aerospace Edison Works advanced maintenance and sustainment technologies and capabilities, such as Conditioned Based Maintenance Plus (CBM+) and Item Unique Identification (IUID) processes. In this role, you will develop and integrate processes to meet or exceed customer requirements, align with business objectives, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, lead long-term planning, and coordinate daily execution of cross-functional teams. Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead internal GE Aerospace and external customer teams to interpret and define CBM+ and IUID requirements for Edison Works products
  • Lead cross functional teams to develop and implement strategies to influence engineering designs and mature advanced logistics, maintenance, and sustainment capabilities relating to CBM+ and IUID
  • Ensure teams incorporate processes to develop, mature, and enhance engine condition-based maintenance capabilities
  • Provide support, subject matter expertise and develop technical requirements related to digital sustainment and Prognostics and Health Management (PHM)
  • Ensure teams incorporate standard work and processes to implement and mature Department of Defense compliant IUID asset visibility and traceability programs
  • Participate in the development and incorporation of sustainment supply chain functions in support of Integrated Product Support (IPS) Sustainment plans and strategies
  • Develop options and make recommendations within areas of responsibility to improve logistics capabilities and reduce engine life cycle costs
  • Create roadmaps and lead studies to develop executable strategies to meet customer long-term sustainment requirements with cost and budget objectives
  • Utilize experience and lessons learned to develop courses of action for future business opportunities
  • Develop cost, pricing, schedule, and risk data for new initiatives and manage proposals
  • Execute other tasks and activities as determined by Senior Sustainment Development Program Managers


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of Aircraft Propulsion Maintenance, Logistics, Sustainment Leadership or relative experience) and a minimum of 5 years of experience in an Aircraft Propulsion Maintenance, Logistics, Sustainment Leadership or relative experience
  • Ability to work full-time, on-site at GE Aerospace headquarters in Cincinnati, OH; due to security requirements there are very limited work from home or remote opportunities
  • Must have or qualify for a U.S. Government Secret Clearance
  • This role is restricted to U.S. Citizens


Desired Characteristics
  • Strong understanding of U.S. military organizations; military logistics organizations roles and responsibilities; military sustainment processes at both the organizational and depot levels
  • Strong understanding of U.S. military maintenance and sustainment processes and procedures, and the DoD's Integrated Product Support elements
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with turbine engine operation and knowledge of maintenance, logistics, and sustainment processes for military turbine engines
  • Experience working with military fighter aircraft program management and understanding of relevant Department of Defense governance structures
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills utilizing a disciplined approach to resolve issues and define solutions
  • Strong oral and written communication skills


This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
