Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a Mission Assurance Engineer 4 located in our San Diego Rancho Carmel facility !

This is not a remote position.

Basic Requirements Mission Assurance Engineer 4 :
  • • Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) related field AND a minimum of 8 years of experience OR MS with 6 years of experience OR PhD with 4 years of experience.
  • • Experience interfacing with suppliers, customers, work associates/teams, and/or management.
  • Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action tools such as; Ishikawa, FMEA, 5-Why, etc.
  • Experience with FAI (First Article Inspection) background
  • Experience with MRB (Material Review Board) standards.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite skills - Project Management
  • Experience with ISO 9001 / AS9100 Quality Management System certification process.
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DOD) Secret Clearance
  • US Citizenship


Preferred Requirements Mission Assurance Engineer 4 :
  • Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance
  • Experience with quality engineering, inspection methods, production control, manufacturing operations, product test & evaluation, reliability, root cause analysis, defect analysis, control of nonconforming material, product sell off, shipping and product support as they apply to quality.
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification to help drive continuous improvement
  • CAM/Earned Value certification/experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $124,900.00 - $187,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
