We are seeking well-qualified Sr Principal or Principal Quality Analyst to support our Aerospace Systems Sector working with the Compliance Audit team.

The position will be located in Clearfield, Utah.

The Auditor will be part of the Clearfield Compliance audit team. Responsibilities include Audit SME for Nadcap, performing internal Nadcap audits, internal Quality Management System (QMS) audits and process audits, as part of the internal QMS audit plan. The Successful applicant will participate as audit team member, or Lead Auditor, to verify and validate the NGAS AS9100/IS0 9001 Quality Management System and compliance to Nadcap certified processes.

Essential Functions:

• Lead the Clearfield audit team in scheduling the local Nadcap internal audits.

• Coordinating/facilitating Nadcap Audits at Clearfield by the PRI External Auditors. Including escorting the auditors during the audit.

• Perform Internal audits of the Nadcap certified processes to ensure compliance with Nadcap requirements, including observing evidence of continuous improvement.

• Assisting in the development of internal QMS audit objectives & scope.

• Perform audits of the Quality Management System (QMS) and its various elements to ensure its effectiveness to AS9100 requirements, including observing evidence of continuous improvement.

• Identify major findings, minor findings, opportunities for improvement and observations, and report information to the process owner.

• Initiate, review, and approve corrective action responses and evaluate effectiveness of implemented corrective action(s) related to audit findings.

The Auditor performs follow-up on the closure status of outstanding internal audit issues. The Auditor may also assist Audit management with periodic internal status reporting and metrics, developing the internal audit plan, and participating as an independent resource throughout the sector.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, to effectively present to peers and management. Exhibit the leadership skills needed to gain management's acceptance of audit outcomes (findings, opportunities, observations). Good project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet established deadlines. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) and Microsoft Teams. Solid understanding of the root cause and corrective action process.

Basic Qualifications for Principal Quality Analyst (Auditor):
  • Bachelor's degree with minimum of 5 years' experience (3 years with Masters) required in areas related to Quality Management Systems, audit and corrective action.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain special program access .
  • Quality related audit experience.
  • Quality audit training completed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASQ Certified Quality Auditor.

• Analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills

• Aerospace and Defense industry experience.

• AS9100 Lead Auditor trained.

• Nadcap audit experience.

Basic Qualifications for Sr Principal Quality Analyst (Auditor):

• Bachelor's degree with minimum of 8 years' experience (6 years with Masters) required in areas related to Quality Management Systems, audit and corrective action.

Active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain special program access.

• Quality related audit experience.

• Quality audit training completed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASQ Certified Quality Auditor.

• Analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills

• Aerospace and Defense industry experience.

• AS9100 Lead Auditor trained.

• Nadcap audit experience.

Primary Level Salary Range: $78,700.00 - $118,100.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,100.00 - $147,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
