Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an opening for a Manager Supply Chain Programs 1 to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals within our Global Supply Chain organization. This leadership role is located onsite in Baltimore, MD.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Responsible and accountable for the strategy, planning, and execution of all material and services content for a Program or collection of Programs.
  • Acts as a focal point for the Program Management Office (PMO) on behalf of supply chain and coordinates cross-functionally to ensure that all supply chain commitments are met, and that appropriate mitigation plans are developed and executed to address any programmatic risks related to suppliers.
  • Leads supply chain Program execution and is accountable for resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity management, supplier performance, and supply chain issue resolution.
  • Manages the GSC teams rhythm to align with program and organizations priorities to minimize distractions.
  • Manages important projects & priorities.
  • Teams with GSC leadership to prioritize our approach.
  • Set and manage expectations for meetings, to include planning and effectiveness.
  • Ensure the team is utilizing the appropriate metrics and indicators to manage and improve performance.
  • Acts as an advisor to leadership and customers.
  • The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.
  • Candidate must be an effective communicator and will be expected to build relationships across program IPTs.
  • Assignments are complex and performed independently without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.
  • Responsible for maintaining material baseline and working with Business Management to meet monthly Earned Value requirements, variance reporting, and ensures consistent Material Finance reporting on program material
  • Manages the proposal process for the full Emerging scope, from RFP through NAR and submittal, including Sourcing Strategy for large volumes of procurement.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management or project management OR a Master's Degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain management or project management
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year experience leading a team, process, and/or projects from conception to completion
  • US Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current Special Program Access (PAR)
  • Experience with FAR and agency supplements
  • Experience with supplier management
  • Experience interfacing with leadership
  • SAP experience
  • Experience with Major Program Standup (EMD/FSD Phase)
  • Cost Account Manager (CAM) Certification


Primary Level Salary Range: $112,600.00 - $169,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
