Mission Assurance and Force Protection Analyst (DSCA Duty Desk Officer)
Location: Arlington, VA
Security Clearance: Active Top Secret required
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Mission Assurance and Force Protection Analyst (DSCA Duty Desk Officer) to support the National Guard Bureau’s J34 division in Arlington, VA. This position plays a critical role in supporting National Guard Mission Assurance (MA), Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), and Force Protection (FP) activities, including the National Guard Reaction Force (NGRF) and Non-Lethal Weapons (NLW) programs.
The successful candidate will provide analytical, operational, and programmatic support to National Guard Domestic Operations (DOMOPS) and Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) missions — helping bridge coordination between military and civilian partners nationwide.
Responsibilities
• Support National Guard Bureau Mission Assurance, Critical Infrastructure Protection, and Force Protection initiatives.
• Produce executive summaries, readiness and capability reports, background information papers, EXSUMs, and factsheets.
• Analyze and track NGRF and NLW program requirements, guidance, and readiness data.
• Support National Guard domestic operations and DSCA activities in coordination with federal, state, and local partners.
• Serve as the NGB Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) Lead and Knowledge Management/Information Management Lead for the J34 Law Enforcement Branch.
• Monitor and manage taskers, requests for information, and project deliverables.
• Attend meetings, working groups, and interagency coordination events as required.
Qualifications
• Active Top Secret security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security, Emergency Management, Defense Studies, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years of experience supporting National Guard, DoD, or federal interagency operations.
• Strong understanding of National Guard domestic operations, Mission Assurance, Force Protection, and DSCA programs.
• Experience with project management, task tracking, and interagency coordination.
• Proficiency with the full Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to produce concise executive-level reports and briefings.
