Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing data related to patient experience and customer satisfaction in a medical treatment facility; interpreting policies or procedures to develop protocols across medical facilities; and providing guidance and advice to senior leaders at a healthcare setting. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

- Support medical personnel and program implementation at DHN MTFs to provide a positive patient experience with a focus on improving patient satisfaction and outcomes.
- Provide a consistent authoritative and integrative voice of the DHN that brings policy implementation guidance, operations, protocols and best practices to the field.
- Integrate patient experience factors with strategic initiatives to include technology applications and strategic communications.
- Analyze data and issues related to the patient experience and customer satisfaction, establishes priorities, researches, develops and implements standardized approaches.
- Provide leadership in the training and development of service excellence skills and behaviors which promote a positive patient experience.
- Deliver presentations on program status, accomplishments, problems, requirements for support, and promotion of program objectives to senior military officers and civilians.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
