AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Principal For Safety (PFS) role for developmental and existing programs as assigned by program sponsors
  • Develop System Safety Program Plans (SSPP), Preliminary Hazard Analyses (PHA), and Safety Assessment Reports (SAR) for new development programs
  • Develop and maintain Hazard Action Reports (HARs) for each assigned program
  • Coordinate and support discussions with NAVSEA Technical Warrant Holders and Government Safety Personnel to assist in required approvals for TEMPALT systems
  • Coordinate and support discussions with Weapon System Safety Explosive Review Board (WSSERB) and Government Safety Personnel as required to adjudicate comments of a system safety nature, and to gain approvals for TEMPALT systems


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree OR High School Diploma and 6+ years of additional experience
  • 15+ years of related work experience in unmanned underwater vehicles, unmanned aircraft, unmanned surface craft, and various other equipment used onboard submarines safety.
  • NOSSA/WISE certified
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance


Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $163,200.00/Yr. - USD $272,500.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
