DAS LLC is seeking a highly qualified Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong foundation in electrical or mechanical engineering disciplines to provide advanced engineering support to the DoD customer at APG, MD.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and integration of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems, components, and subassemblies for defense applications.
- Apply electrical and mechanical engineering principles to address cross-functional design challenges, including system interfaces, power distribution, and thermal management.
- Conduct advanced engineering analyses to evaluate performance, durability, and reliability under operational and environmental conditions.
- Oversee prototype fabrication, system assembly, and test activities; analyze results and provide technical recommendations.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including design specifications, drawings, test plans, and reports, ensuring compliance with DoD and program requirements.
- Support systems engineering processes including requirements analysis, design verification, and configuration management.
- Provide engineering guidance and technical mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
- Participate in technical interchange meetings (TIMs), design reviews, and working groups with Government and contractor personnel.
- Ensure adherence to established engineering practices, safety regulations, and quality assurance standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant engineering experience, with demonstrated experience in both mechanical and electrical systems design and integration.
- Proven ability to lead engineering projects and provide technical oversight across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Proficiency in the use of engineering design and analysis tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent CAD software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience supporting DoD programs or Army systems within acquisition, R&D, or test and evaluation environments.
- Familiarity with DoD technical data requirements, configuration control, and engineering change management.
- Experience developing technical documentation and presenting results to senior leadership and Government stakeholders.
