GENERAL DUTIES:

- Program Communications:
- Respond to ZT and Cyber Security -related inquiries, data calls, and requests for program information.
- Provide comprehensive communications support to the CIO Zero Trust Program Manager and staff.
- Support preparation of briefings, newsletters, reports, and marketing material to promote ZT/Cyber Security strategy and initiatives.
- Technical Editing & Documentation
- Perform technical editing of program documentation, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with IC and DoD standards.
- Develop and maintain standard templates for reports, presentations, and communications deliverables.
- Translate highly technical Zero Trust/Cyber Security concepts into plain language for diverse audiences.
- Reporting & Deliverables
- Draft and format official communications deliverables in accordance with SOW and Government guidance.
- Track and maintain responses to data calls, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure communications align with CIO policies, branding, and messaging guidelines.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Assist in developing internal and external communication strategies to increase awareness of ZT objectives.
- Coordinate with technical teams, program managers, and leadership to ensure consistent messaging.
- Support executive-level briefings and congressional/DoD reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, acquisition teams, engineers, and mission stakeholders to integrate ZT into enterprise workflows.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Federal/DIA communications policies; Zero Trust awareness; DoD reporting protocols.
- knowledge of cyber security principles and practices.
- Strong technical writing, briefing, and communication skills for executive and technical audiences.
- Strong proficiency with Office365/ MS Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Ability to create compelling graphics and executive-level slides.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Translate technical cyber topics into executive-ready messaging.
- Coordinate across multiple teams to gather, validate, and synthesize information.
- Manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality products under deadlines.
- Master's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Cybersecurity, or related field (or 6 additional years of experience)
- 12+ years of experience in communications, technical writing, or program support in a federal or DoD environment.
- Demonstrated ability to create clear, concise, and visually engaging communications products.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity and Zero Trust principles preferred.
- Certifications: None required; PMP, Security+, or CISSP desirable if supporting technical editing of cyber documents.
- Ability to Pass CI Poly.
