MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Sea Trials Delivery Coordinator to join our team working in Newport News, VA.  This is an on-site position.
The Sea Trials Delivery Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of sea trials, final delivery milestones, and post-delivery activities. You will support these efforts by analyzing readiness metrics, identifying performance trends, and implementing improvement strategies to support program success.

The Sea Trials Delivery Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of sea trials, final delivery milestones, and post-delivery activities. You will support these efforts by analyzing readiness metrics, identifying performance trends, and implementing improvement strategies to support program success.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist in the collection and tracking of all pre- and post-delivery testing and certifications
 - Analyze metrics to determine leading contributors to schedule delays, including availability and accuracy of system certification and test result information; availability and accuracy of Government Furnished Information; Shipyard Inspection Report drivers and resolution timeliness; Shipyard engineering and material bottlenecks; and test discrepancy resolution and certification progress
 - Coordinate between Ship's Force, the Government, and the Shipyard to resolve sea-trials readiness issues, focusing on the underlying causes for delays and formulating recommendations for process improvements
 - Coordinate between the Program Office, SUPSHIPNN, applicable Program Accountability and Risk Managers (PARM), and the Shipyard
 - Develop recommendations to enhance trial card screening, facilitate conflict resolution regarding assignment of responsibility for trial card issues, and improve the process by which the Government and Shipyard confirm that a discrepancy item has been resolved
 - Document all processes used in the development of the Sea Trial Agenda and Plan and provide a final report with recommendations for improvement of future new construction test and trials evolutions
 - Maintain problem resolution activities through post-delivery planning and execution, using metrics to identify root causes of issues, developing strategies to improve efficiencies, and coordinating among stakeholders to improve post-delivery schedule performance
 - Apply lessons learned from CVN 78 sea trials, delivery and post-delivery to improve process for current and future sea trials delivery and post-delivery
 
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline
 - 10+ years of experience with aircraft carrier maintenance and operations or shipbuilding/ship repair business analysis
 - Experience with aircraft carrier test program development and accomplishment
 
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project or program management experience
 - Experience working with or at a shipyard, Naval Surface/Undersea Warfare Center (NSWC/NUWC), Supervisor of Shipbuilding Command (SUPSHIP), Regional Maintenance Center (RMC), and/or Type Commander (TYCOM) supporting construction, operation, maintenance, modernization, and/or repair of Aircraft Carrier systems and components.
 
Clearance Requirements:
- Must possess an active or current Secret security clearance
 
Physical Requirements:
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
 - Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
