Position Description Summary:	
The LAN Lead will provide hands-on leadership and technical support for DLA Land and Maritime’s enterprise Local Area Network (LAN) operations. This role involves developing, maintaining, and improving network systems while ensuring compliance with government security and performance standards.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and monitor LAN operations to ensure network integrity and availability.
• Develop and maintain technical specifications for network infrastructure solutions.
• Coordinate with Vendor PMs, COTRs, and end users to resolve network-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with DLA and host activity safety and training requirements.
• Lead and mentor junior network technicians to ensure consistent delivery of network services.
• Support network planning, upgrades, and troubleshooting efforts.
Skills & Experience
• Minimum 5 years of progressive LAN experience,
• Minimum of LAN Operations or Implementations for multiple networks
• Strong understanding of network protocols, design, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to coordinate and communicate across teams and with customer stakeholders.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certifications: Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco, or equivalent).
• DoD 8570/8140: Category IAT Level I (e.g. Network+, Security+, SSCP)
Security Clearance Required:
• Active Secret Clearance with eligibility for Top Secret (Top Secret preferred).
