Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is searching for a Principal/Sr Principal DevOps Software Engineer in support of our programs in Huntsville, AL.
Basic Qualifications:
-Principal level- 5 Years with Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM- required by the program); 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD
-Sr Principal level- 8 Years with Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM- required by the program); 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD
• Active Secret Clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one
• Experience working with Cyber requirements and STIGs.• Experience with working in a Linux environment
• Proven hands-on experience with OCI-compliant container technologies (Docker/Podman)
• Strong expertise in building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitLab.
• Proficiency in distributed version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaboration tools (e.g., GitHub, Jira, Confluence).
• Demonstrated experience working in Agile environments with effective communication and team collaboration.
• Hands-on experience in an AWS environment, deploying and managing cloud-based applications and services.
• Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Active Secret Clearance
• Familiarity with additional cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• AWS Certification
• Basic understanding of networking concepts in cloud and container environments.
• Awareness of DevSecOps security best practices, including risk mitigation and threat assessment.
• Experience managing Kubernetes applications using Helm charts and deployment tools like ArgoCD.
• Familiarity with identity management protocols such as OIDC Authentication and OAuth 2.0 Authorization, including tools like Keycloak.
Primary Level Salary Range: $105,400.00 - $158,000.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $131,100.00 - $196,700.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
