Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior Test Engineer/Lead to support Kadiak and our government customer in Vienna, VA. This position requires an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a SCI. This is a hybrid opportunity, 3days onsite and 2 days telework.

Kadiak, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior Test Engineer/Lead to join our dynamic team supporting mission-critical government programs. This role combines hands-on testing expertise with technical leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to mentor team members while maintaining high-quality standards.
The Senior Test Engineer/Lead will oversee and execute comprehensive testing strategies while leading a team of test engineers. Key responsibilities include:
• Lead and mentor a team of test engineers, providing technical guidance and support
• Implement and maintain testing best practices and methodologies
• Analyze and document test results, providing detailed reports to stakeholders
• Design and implement comprehensive test strategies aligned with Agile-Scrum methodologies
• Provide estimates for testing efforts and resource requirements
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for testing processes and procedures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle
• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies and test plans
• Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test procedures, and test results
• Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing
• Identify, track, and manage defects through resolution
• Participate in requirements analysis and design reviews
• Interface with client stakeholders regarding testing activities and results
Education and Experience:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 6+ years of software testing experience
• 2+ years of team leadership experience
• Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI
• Experience working in government contracting environment
Required Skills and Competencies:
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks including and not limited to Playwright, QuickTest Professional, LoadRunner, or Selenium Tool Suite is a big plus
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices
• Expertise in developing and executing test cases and test plans
• Experience in developing and maintaining testing documentation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working with and mentoring team members
• Expertise in root cause analysis and troubleshooting
• The ideal candidate will bring both technical expertise and leadership capabilities to drive quality assurance initiatives while mentoring team members and maintaining strong relationships with government stakeholders
