Data Analytics Project Manager

What we are looking for

Tripoint Solutions is seeking an experienced Data Analytics Project Manager to lead analytics and reporting initiatives in support of federal education programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics and data science principles, proven experience managing complex federal projects, and a deep understanding of higher education systems and data environments such as Salesforce or Blackboard.

This role will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver actionable insights, improve program visibility, and enhance data-driven decision-making across federal and education-focused initiatives.

Location: HYBRID; MUST be located in DC, Virginia, or Maryland

The successful candidate will be accountable to:

• Serve as the primary project manager for analytics, reporting, and visualization efforts within federal education or research programs.
• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of data-centric projects in compliance with federal standards and client requirements.
• Develop and implement data governance and analytics frameworks to improve data quality, integrity, and accessibility.
• Design and deliver custom dashboards and visualizations in Tableau, supporting both operational and executive-level reporting.
• Integrate, analyze, and interpret data from enterprise systems such as Salesforce, Blackboard, and related education technology platforms.
• Collaborate with federal stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to translate mission objectives into measurable outcomes.
• Oversee project documentation, performance tracking, and deliverables aligned with federal contract requirements.
• Ensure compliance with federal data management policies, privacy standards, and security protocols.

What you bring

Experience, Education & Training:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience managing complex data analytics or business intelligence projects, preferably in a federal contracting environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Tableau (dashboard creation, advanced reporting, and performance optimization).
• Strong understanding of data analytics and data science principles, including data modeling, statistical methods, and visualization best practices.
• Proven ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables in accordance with federal acquisition and reporting standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience briefing senior government officials and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting federal education programs, such as the Department of Education or other grant-based initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Blackboard, or similar education technology platforms.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or R for advanced analytics and automation.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, FISMA, and federal data governance standards.

Clearance Requirements:

• Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation.
