SUMMARY:
Soliel is seeking to hire a Senior Cloud Engineer. This position provides critical skills as part of a team to design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure in AWS GovCloud. The ideal candidate must have a thorough understanding of cloud automation, ensuring cloud solutions are scalable and resilient cloud design principles.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manages Cloud requirements analysis, conceptual design, detailed design, and implementation of a cloud project
• Build, release, and manage the configuration of all production systems with a focus on automation and infrastructure as code using Terraform and CloudFormation
• Work alongside architecture and engineering teams to design and implement scalable software services
• Ensure necessary system security by using best in class cloud security solutions
• Stay current with new technology options and vendor products, evaluating which ones would be a good fit for the company/project
• Implement continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines when necessary
• Recommend process and architecture improvements
• Troubleshoot system issues and solve problems across all platform and application domains
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline
• 8+ Years experience designing and building web environments on AWS GovCloud, which includes working with services like EC2, S3, SQS, API Gateway, ECS, Fargate, Lambda, etc.
• Experience building and maintaining cloud-native applications
• Experience in building highly available (HA) production-grade solutions in AWS.
• Experience with container orchestration services such as Kubernetes or Fargate
• Experience using monitoring solutions like CloudWatch, ELK Stack, and Prometheus
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform
Preferred Skills:
• Prior experience in Linux/Unix server system administration
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IAC) using tools such as Ansible and Chef.
