Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Brownsville, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and fostering a welcoming environment at a retail location. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and delivering exceptional customer service through strong communication. This position requires carrying a firearm and operating a vehicle as part of your daily duties. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies at the assigned retail location.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, shoppers, and/or staff in a courteous and professional manner.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, using problem-solving techniques to address the situation.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activities and maintain a visible presence.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and monitor for any suspicious activity or potential security-related concerns within the retail environment.
• Document incidents and report any irregularities or unusual situations to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts as required.
• Support emergency response activities when appropriate, following established protocols for the site.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Level III Armed Certification is required for positions in Texas only.
• Ability to ride a bike is required for bike patrol roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
