Job Description

As a Security Officer - Access Control Monitor in Keewatin, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor access points into and out of the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited items, following established Allied Universal procedures.
• Verify credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors to support access control standards at the location.
• Conduct security-related inspections of vehicles and personal belongings as required by site-specific policies.
• Respond to access control incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as appropriate to site management and/or emergency services.
• Provide customer service to all personnel entering the location, addressing questions and assisting in directing individuals according to access protocols.
• Perform regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter security-related issues and identify unusual activity.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, access control violations, or hazardous conditions according to Allied Universal and site guidelines.
• Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal team members to support the overall access control program at the manufacturing and industrial location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
