Job Description
The Building People are seeking a qualified Maximo Administrator (Systems Analyst) to support immediate IBM MAS / Maximo (Maximo Application Suite) solution delivery as well as other COTS solution technologies to support a growing portfolio of federal government, local government, non-profit, and commercial customers - all while operating remotely.

At The Building People, a Systems Analyst primarily performs business and functional analysis related to the delivery of technology solutions and services. As skills allow, they may perform tasks such as project management, system integration and administration, software development, and more. This highly collaborative position requires work both within a team as well as individual work settings contributing to all aspects of solution implementation and support for assigned customers. This is a customer-facing role, and some out-of-town travel may be required, as projects dictate.

Responsibilities

Task Execution

  • Provide expertise to execute and report results of multiple analytical tasks related to facility operations and management, and development of long- and short-range strategies with customer stakeholders and teams.
  • Design solutions to identified problems.
  • Analyze the structure of an organization to determine how it operates and determine its objectives while identifying any opportunities for better efficiency within the current business model.
  • Prepare and delivering reports of findings to leadership with comprehensive risk and impact assessments.
  • Develop comprehensive test cases and steps.
  • Develop comprehensive project documentation and technical reports.
  • Apply technical knowledge and subject matter experience to complete assigned tasks on time, within budget, and respecting the scope provided.
  • Support off-hour and on-call duties, as needed.


Leadership

  • Provide functional leadership on projects.
  • Lead, coordinate, execute, and report results of multiple solution requirement tasks, utilizing both best practices and analytical techniques and processes to formulate trends and/or recommendations related to facility operations and management.
  • Provide daily supervision and direction to others as necessary.
  • Oversee and guide the implementation of approved solutions.
  • Manage and comply with project schedule deliverables and milestones.
  • Perform quality checks.
  • Communicate and collaborate in a professional manner.


Administrative

  • Actively and effectively update task tracking system and knowledge base.
  • Stay current with trends relating to technology and subject matter applicable to the job.
  • Value and protect company, colleague, and customer data.
  • Operate within a NIST 800-171 compliant security environment internally and able to support all client required cyber security data and operational processes.
  • Operate within a home office environment that provides adequate workspace and high-speed internet connectivity.


Skills & Requirements

Required Experience & Skills

Technical:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience:
  • Working as a Systems Analyst.
  • Implementing and deploying the Maximo application.
  • Working with System Development Life Cycle methodologies and/or Software Development Methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Working as an Administrator of database-driven web and mobile applications.
  • Working with Database Management Systems, particularly in the areas of schema structures, reporting, and data integration capabilities.
  • Writing, and modifying SQL, HTML, XML, JavaScript, Java, or similar programming languages.
  • Working knowledge of Data Analysis and ETL methods
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of common computer networking environments and protocols, such as LAN, WAN, VPN, and Cloud.


General

  • Minimum of 1 year successfully working from home office or remote location, with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with Confluence, SharePoint, Kanban, and other industry tools.
  • Experience in workplace management, facilities assessment and management, lease administration, project management, and/or other real property management.
  • Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and guidance
  • Ability to work well in a team-based environment, both within the immediate team and broader group, with the common goal of a successful project.
  • Meet a level of professionalism in both verbal and written communication skills as this role requires daily communication with internal and external project team members.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, project management skills.
  • Self-motivated with ability to multi-task and respond quickly.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate independently.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work in fast-paced environment under pressure.
  • Ability to pivot seamlessly as project requirements and timelines change.
  • Ability to create and present multiple solutions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • US Citizenship.
  • Ability to meet Federal Government and DoD security background checks, HSPD-12, Fingerprinting, plus agency-specific screening.


Preferred Additional Experience & Skills

  • Working knowledge of IBM TRIRIGA, Archibus, ServiceNow, Nuvolo, FM:Systems, or other IWMS/CMMS/EAM software.
  • Previous experience and clearance with the Federal or State government.
  • Experience creating UI mock-ups and storyboarding.
  • Architectural design, building system engineering, or building information modeling (BIM) knowledge.
  • Experience triaging bug reports and advanced troubleshooting of computer hardware and software.
  • Experience writing training materials and training Users and System Administrators.
  • Experience using US DoD tools GFEBS, DMLSS-FM, InFADS.
  • Cyber security awareness with DFARS 252.204-7012 & 252.204-7019, NIST 800-171 policy compliance.
  • Working knowledge of:

-Esri ArcGIS

-AutoCAD or Revit

-AWS/Azure Cloud

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.


Preferred Education

  • Education/Certification in Business Analysis, Scrum/Agile, ITIL, SDLC, Project Management, or Six Sigma.
Qualifications
