Systems Engineer - Nuclear Weapons Security Program

Contract Position

Pay Estimated: $48.50-$53.50/Hour

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.)

Ability to Obtain and Maintain a Secret Clearance

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate on a cross-functional engineering team to design and sustain secure information systems.
• Perform requirements decomposition, tracking, and management using tools like IBM DOORS.
• Develop, maintain, and execute test procedures for system-level validation and verification.
• Support virtualized environments, system administration (Linux/Windows), and cybersecurity tool integration.
• Administer and troubleshoot databases (MongoDB preferred) and network configurations (Cisco systems).
• Automate tasks and enhance system operability using Windows PowerShell and scripting tools.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of system architectures, ensuring performance and compliance with technical standards.

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Working knowledge of systems engineering principles, including requirements management and system modeling.
• Experience with DOORS, Simulink, test procedure development, and systems integration.
• Familiarity with operating system administration, virtualization, and cybersecurity tools.
• Experience with Cisco networking, database administration (MongoDB preferred), and PowerShell scripting.
• Agile development experience preferred.
