Responsibilities
- Serve as a continuity point across multiple software products, helping to synchronize technical priorities, deconflict workstreams, and maintain alignment with broader portfolio goals.
- Provide hands-on engineering support, including full-stack development in React, TypeScript, Python, and REST APIs to supplement team capacity and address high-priority technical needs.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, solution validation, and technical troubleshooting to support reliable and scalable software delivery.
- Apply domain knowledge of Army operations, data environments, and system behaviors to inform platform development and ensure solutions integrate effectively into real-world workflows.
- Advise product leads and application captains on technical tradeoffs, product strategy, and business decision-making based on operational realities and user needs.
- Translate customer and end-user feedback into actionable technical requirements, ensuring product decisions align with mission demands and enterprise constraints.
- Guide junior team members and emerging leaders, supporting their development in both technical and product-oriented responsibilities while contributing to internal process maturation.
- Support the development of proposals, white papers, technical narratives, and strategic recommendations tied to ongoing growth efforts.
- Build strong working relationships with government stakeholders through hybrid on-site engagement, ensuring consistent communication, clarity of priorities, and responsive technical support.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering.
- 5+ years of software development experience with modern frameworks and languages
- Strong Python development skills with Django framework experience
- Proficiency with React and modern frontend development practices
- Exceptional communication skills-you can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa
- Proven ability to work embedded with client teams and manage stakeholder relationships
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to operate independently in dynamic environments
DESIRED SKILLS
- Military experience or deep familiarity with Army operations, culture, and terminology
- Experience building applications for government or DoD clients
- Background in AI/ML integration or data-driven applications
- Hands on experience with LLMs, NLP, and related AI technologies solving real problems
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Agile/Scrum project coordination experience
- Prior work in sustainment, logistics, or maintenance domains
