*This position requires an active Secret clearance and will require travel to Alaska or Hawaii for duration of the contract if located outside of AK or HI.*
The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems at USAF sites in commercial, industrial, and residential settings. This position requires a high level of expertise, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Survey and Inspection:
-Inspect electrical components, such as power panels, conduit pathways, circuit breakers and grounding systems.
- Identify electrical systems using a variety of testing devices.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code.
- Work with blueprints and diagrams of circuits and wiring to complete inspections.
- Testing and Inspections:
- Conduct resistance testing and documentation of existing ground systems.
- Conduct power panel load testing.
- Analyze and interpret test data to diagnose malfunctions.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Customer Service:
- Communicate effectively with clients and team.
- Provide detailed and accurate reports on inspections performed.
- Offer guidance on the proper usage of electrical systems and appliances to clients.
Qualifications:
- Education and Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training program.
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an electrician.
- Proven experience working with electrical systems in residential, commercial, and/or industrial settings.

- Proficient with electrical equipment and hand tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
