Forklift Mechanic
Location: Silverdale, Washington
Schedule: Full-time | On-site
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Mechanic to join our team in Silverdale, WA. The Forklift Mechanic will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including forklifts, pallet jacks, aerial boom lifts, and scissor lifts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on forklifts, pallet jacks (2,000–70,000 lb. capacity), and other MHE.
• Dismantle and reassemble equipment to OEM specifications and Navy standards.
• Inspect and repair electric, diesel, propane, or gasoline-powered MHE and related systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair drive trains, hydraulic systems, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed.
• Research and identify replacement parts for order.
• Maintain tools, documentation, and adherence to all safety and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a forklift, MHE, or heavy equipment mechanic in commercial or government settings.
• Strong knowledge of electric, diesel, propane, and gasoline engine systems.
• Skilled in diagnosing electrical and computer-controlled systems.
• Must provide personal hand tools appropriate to the trade.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable record.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work effectively in a team environment.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to meet physical and security requirements.
Preferred:
• Experience maintaining and repairing aerial boom and scissor lifts.
