The SharePoint Administrator Sr. serves as a key member of the SharePoint Administration Team, responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and modernizing the organization's SharePoint-based intranet portal and website across both on-premises and cloud (Microsoft 365) environments. This role focuses on content updates, page design, and end-user support while also assisting with SharePoint permissions, workflows, and Power Platform integration. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with both the technical and design aspects of SharePoint.

Responsibilities

  • Design and update SharePoint portal pages and sites across SharePoint Online (365 SPO and Teams), SharePoint SE, SharePoint 2016, and SharePoint 2019, ensuring a consistent user experience and compliance with accessibility and branding standards.
  • Develop and maintain site pages using SharePoint Designer for layout customization, workflow automation, and integration with Power Platform tools.
  • Edit, enhance, and optimize images for use on SharePoint sites using Adobe Photoshop, including working with layers, resizing, and exporting graphics for web quality.
  • Capture, document, and clarify requirements from internal stakeholders, ensuring requested updates align with business needs and technical standards.
  • Create and maintain modern and classic SharePoint pages, lists, and libraries, including list views, templates, and metadata configurations to improve site usability.
  • Implement workflow automations using Power Automate to streamline processes such as approvals, notifications, and content publishing.
  • Support custom forms and data visualizations built in Power Apps and Power BI, helping teams enhance interactivity and reporting across portal pages.
  • Use Snip to capture annotated images and visual documentation for training materials, troubleshooting guides, and change requests.
  • Support Records Management efforts through SharePoint Records Management tools, ensuring proper document retention and compliance (especially for BPD environments).
  • Integrate and manage streaming media content within SharePoint, optimizing performance and accessibility.
  • Troubleshoot user issues in SharePoint, including problems related to Power Apps forms, Power Automate workflows, and content permissions.
  • Assign and manage permissions for SharePoint sites, lists, and libraries to maintain secure and appropriate access levels.
  • Coordinate with IT staff to perform updates in SharePoint Central Administration, assist with SQL-related configurations, and support on-prem server environments (preferred).
  • Collaborate with communications and design teams to ensure site consistency, accuracy, and visual appeal across all SharePoint platforms.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree. Can be substituted for an associate's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience
  • 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • DoD IAT Level II Certification is required.
  • Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility is required.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Expertise in Photoshop for photo/graphic editing using layers and resizing images for web use.
  • Strong ability to gather and clarify requirements from non-technical users and translate them into functional SharePoint solutions.
  • Experience building and maintaining both classic and modern SharePoint sites.
  • Proficiency with SharePoint web parts, including lists, libraries, and views.
  • Knowledge of Records Management and document management practices in SharePoint.
  • Experience working with streaming media and embedded content within SharePoint.
  • Ability to develop and troubleshoot SharePoint Designer and Power Automate workflows.
  • Understanding of Power Apps, Power BI, and data integration within the SharePoint ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, SharePoint servers, SQL, and Central Administration (preferred).
  • Experience with the SENTRIS environment and handling sensitive content (a plus).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills with attention to detail.
