As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol CRE in Long Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more.
As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned commercial real estate locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind for tenants and visitors. Your visible presence and professional demeanor will foster trust while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. This is an armed post, and you will play an important role in supporting a secure environment for all occupants. What You'll Do:
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the commercial real estate location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
- Help to deter potential security-related incidents through visible presence and attentive patrols.
- Document and report all incidents, observations, and suspicious activities according to Allied Universal guidelines.
- Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits to help maintain a secure environment at the location.
- Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and site representatives to address security-related concerns and provide support as required.
What We're Looking For:
- Availability across various days and shifts
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
- Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or license as required by law.
- Baton certification, pepper spray certification, and handcuffing certification are preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
