As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver - Government in Asheville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.
As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a key government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. This armed and driving post requires you to conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and engage with the public to provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain an orderly environment.
- Monitor for unusual activities or conditions and report findings as required by site procedures.
- Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and/or residents, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, observations, and/or incidents as outlined in site instructions.
- Support Allied Universal leadership and client representatives with security-related tasks as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
- An active armed guard card or license is required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
