Industrial Control Systems and Platform Solutions Engineer, Lead

The Opportunity:

Are you looking for an opportunity to share your experience in Industrial Control System (ICS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Cybersecurity practice, and Cybersecurity service offerings to lead and grow client engagements, including all aspects of delivery, execution, and provide leadership to a team of engineers and Cybersecurity experts? As an Industrial Control Systems and Platform Solutions Engineer, you can identify the tools needed to assess vulnerabilities and recommend the best solution and security strategy. We need your experience to assess cybersecurity issues and oversee the development and implementation of security solutions that will support DoD client projects within the Cybersecurity domain and discuss with clients on the secure design of ICS and SCADA environments. Lead project work streams, synthesize and analyze complex data, and work with the team to develop high-quality interim and final deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you'll directly impact the Booz Allen Air Force and Space Force mission area by coordinating with senior leaders to develop new business opportunities and author the technical approach for proposals. Manage the shaping and delivery of cutting-edge service offerings using industry-leading tools. Lead hands-on implementation processes across multiple leading-edge technologies. What You'll Work On:

  • Develop relationships quickly and easily with other teams, communicating the complexities of security with a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.
  • Manage infrastructure and cyber security controls, including enhanced detection and vulnerability capabilities and improved event correlation in large enterprises.
  • Lead risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas, leveraging big data analytics and traditional security event types to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.
  • Use DoD and industry best practices to develop concept of operations (CONOPS), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience as a security specialist across the government or commercial critical infrastructure sectors
  • 5+ years of experience with systems security engineering, design engineering, security tests and evaluations, and risk assessments for enterprise-level IT systems, including risk management, vulnerability assessments, security assessments, strategy and program development, network architecture designs, and monitoring solutions
  • 5+ years of experience leading and managing varied and remote teams, meeting aggressive deadlines, thriving in a dynamic and high-intensity environment, and presenting and communicating to teams, executives, and clients, including briefings, sales calls, and team-based discussions
  • 2+ years of experience with Cybersecurity standards and best practices, and their integration
  • Experience with evaluating security vulnerabilities, developing mitigation strategies, and implementing remediation
  • Ability to analyze the creation of Cybersecurity documentation, including security policies, plans, and procedures
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Security+ certification


Nice If You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in leading large and complex Cybersecurity capability design and implementation projects for Fortune 500 clients or management firms
  • 5+ years of experience with coaching and mentoring junior staff on functional expertise
  • Experience with IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, NERC CIP, or other industrial control regulations
  • Ability to be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Possession of excellent client facilitation skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Global Industrial Cybersecurity Professional (GICSP), Certified SCADA Security Architect (CSSA), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
